North Wilts U3A Dance Group

We meet twice monthly at Kington Langley Village Hall on the first and third Tuesday of each month throughout the year.

The first Tuesday of each month is a Tea Dance - starting at 2.30 and finishing at 4.30 - open to the general public - cost £1 to include tea and biscuits.

The third Tuesday of each month is at the same venue and time and is for U3A members only - we have dancing practice and some tuition at these sessions. Cost is the same as for the Tea Dances.

We do popular ballroom and sequence dances and welcome all new dancing friends of any ability with or without partners.

At least twice a year we hold charity Tea Dances in aid of Lupus sufferers whom we regularly support.

As one of the longest running groups of the U3A, the Ballroom Dancing seems to have been very remiss in letting our fellow members know that we are still very active.  We meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month.  The 3rd Tuesday we usually have some instruction to learn another step in a ballroom dance so that we are able to do a little more than just ‘1-2-together’ (which, believe me, was the limit of some of our ability), or maybe a simple sequence dance.

Our instructor is Ron, who is very patient (he needs to be) and even gives us written instructions so we can practice in the kitchen when we get home!  We have a very friendly crowd coming from all around the area, even from Bristol, and quite a few people who have joined U3A solely for this group.  We meet at Kington

Langley Village Hall, which is a spacious modern hall with a good floor and excellent kitchen for making our cuppa, with biscuits of course, and plenty of parking.  Why not come and join us?   The music is great to listen to if you aren’t into tripping the light fantastic, and you would be sure of a welcome!
